Life can pass us by in the blink of an eye. With the hustle and bustle of daily life, with people doing their best to keep up with the fast pace of life, everyone tends to forget about things that matter most: building a connection with our creator, God. Through prayer, people can communicate more with God. That is why it is essential to never lose sight of this practice.

It is a must to make time for prayer and incorporate it into our daily lives, no matter what. Thomas Fitzhugh Sheets’ written work is a trilogy, which is “The Death of the Promise,” “The Resurrection of the Promise,” and “The Land of the Promise.” The book centers around one theme, which is faith.

Faith is defined as the belief and trust in and/or loyalty to God. With faith, people can do anything. After all, if a person truly wants something or finds it important, they can always find time to dedicate to it.
When it comes to the Lord, it is vital to nurture a relationship with him, but oftentimes, it gets pushed aside because other commitments in life get in the way, such as work, family, friends, and even their own selves. With that said, here are a few suggestions on ways to communicate more with God in your daily life:
Begin your day with the Lord.
There’s no denying that the majority, if not all, of people nowadays choose to begin their day by picking up their smartphones. This could be done for many reasons, such as turning off the alarm that you set or simply checking on messages or social media. Whatever the reason may be, starting the day off free from screens and radiation is a better alternative. So, instead of scrolling on social media, how about you try to set aside a few minutes of your time in the morning to read the bible?

Learn to pray mindfully.
It is painfully easy to mumble a quick and meaningless prayer, especially one that you have already memorized. If you pray, do not ever do it out of obligation only, but do it out of pure intentions that you truly wish to talk with God. Think about it this way, the Lord is waiting for you to spend time with him and is eager to listen to you. Give him your thanks so everything that you have in life because he is the reason we have all this.
Make a list of everything that you are grateful for.
When you are very busy in your everyday life, it can be rather easy to forget about taking time to pause and be thankful for what you have in life. How about you try listing down to the little things that you are grateful for on a piece of paper and place it on a location where you can see it every day so you will not forget to write down on it on a daily basis.
Convert those complaints into words of praise.
There is no denying that, as humans, we all tend to complain when things do not go our way, especially in times when we wish for it the most. People mostly complain when situations offer nothing but inconvenience, but with the right mindset, the situation can be flipped over to the bright side! Try to be more mindful by taking a few seconds to think about what you are complaining about and find a way to turn that complaint into praise, such as finding a difficult situation as a challenge that will make you stronger in the future.
Be more appreciative of God’s wonderful creations.
When you go outdoors, make an effort to be off your gadgets as much as possible, and take the time you have outside to truly appreciate the beautiful scenery. God’s creations are truly miracles and are all wonderful, and he cares for each and every one of them. Showing some appreciation for his creations is a good way to show that we are thankful for everything that he has done and is still doing for all of us.
Love other people.
While it is perfectly normal to show love to the people that matter in our lives, the same cannot be said when it comes to others, especially ones that test our patience. The word of God helps us change, and with our constant seeking of his guidance, we can truly become the positive and godly influence in others, especially those who need kindness, patience, and love the most.
Most of all, remember to love yourself. In these times, it seems to be a common struggle among people. Make sure to take care of yourself in every aspect: feed your body, your mind, your soul, and your spirit. Live a God-Centered Life and the rest will follow.
